All Blacks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In room 8 we have been talking about the All Blacks. We took a  photo of us in the stadium and if we win an All Blacks will come into our class . Rugby is New Zealands national sport.  My favorite player is Dan Carter because he never gives up  and Richie is also my favorite player because he scores tries.

Ranjiv's Kite

My kite has two dragon heads. The dragon is a symbol of China. I put three wishes on my kite. One was that my sister can get a job. She has now got a job working in the $2 shop.

Kapa Haka

In the first block we did Kapa Haka. We sang a song called Papa kete taha  and when we practiced  we got to go on the stage.   I like Kapa Haka becuase we have to hit our chests   hard and stamp our feet and chant in loud voices.

What does culture mean to me

What does culture mean to me? Culture is different skin colours, different languages different countries. Different clothes different dances and hair colour.

Term 2 Reflection

This term I enjoyed was playing catch the flag because you have to run fast to catch the flags.The challenging part was  maths becuause the questions are getting harder and the numbers are getting bigger. One goal I achieved was being neater in my writing. Something I want to work on is improving my basic facts and multiplication problem solving in maths.

The waste to wow project and show

Last week we had the trashion show. My favourite part was the fluro section because it lit up in the dark making the costumes look cool.  My favourite costume was the crocodiles because I like the green colour and  I like the tail, jaws and helmet. It looked awesome.

Making costumes with room 4

My group made a  KC kid out of paper as practise for our waste to wow exhibition. Our garments  must be safe, durable, eye catching and, we must be able to walk in them. I made it out off paper. The hat took long time it was quite tricky.

Mrs Paraha visits our class

On Thursday Mrs Paraha brought her baby to school. She was a girl. Her name was Eden. Mrs Paraha brought cookies and we asked same questions about changing Eden's diaper. Nga is changing the diaper.

During poetry week the things that I enjoyed was reading funny poems and freaky poems .

My favorites poem was captain underpants.

• Describing words
• Capital letters and full stops.

Museum Trip!

Room 8 and room 7 went to the museum trip. We saw costumes made out of metal and one was a clock made out of plastic. When the people went to make their costume they had to have an inspiration and draw it, then design it and make it out of paper. Then you test it, then you make it out of metal or other materials. This is a picture of the hats that we made.  

Term 1 Reflection

Camp was fun because we got  to sleep in tents. We had fun on the slip and slide. I had to sleep with out my family . 

My goal for next term is to take more time with my work and to write neater and to spell mor words correctly.

My trip home to Fiji

Let me tell you about Fiji. It was fun because I fed the cows and the goats. But it was because  my Nana was sick and so was my grandfather. The good news is my grandfathwer has come to New Zealand and he gets to sleep in in my bed.

Danish rounder

Danish rounder was fun because  you had to run fast  around the bases and you had to run quickly so the three balls  didn't  get into the hoop before you reached home bas3. Then our team swapped over and we were the fielders. ranjiv 

P.E shed - Reading

My group  read the Marble Patch  and Adam designed a poster about the pool  and the other boys did 1 about the sand pit and I was Happy when I  finished my work. My poster of rules was about the P.E shed.

Green Award

Wrap free Wednesday was awesome and I had a wrap free lunch.
We won a green award because we had the most wrap free lunches in the whole school.

Awesome assembly

This was the awesome assembly.  I was shy  but I tried my best.   I did not give up.

Slip and slide

My favourite part at camp was the slip and  slide because it was slippery and it was interesting.
